Courchevel is famous for its glamour: Michelin-starred restaurants, palace hotels and visiting royalty. But the resort is made up of several villages at different altitudes, and staying lower down can save a lot while giving you access to the same superb skiing in the Three Valleys.
1. Courchevel 1850
The most famous and most expensive village, with luxury chalets, boutiques and top restaurants. It's the best connected to the rest of the Three Valleys.
2. Courchevel Moriond (1650)
Sunny, family-friendly and with good-value ski-in, ski-out hotels. Wide runs above the village suit intermediates.
3. Courchevel Village (1550)
Smaller and quieter, linked by gondola to 1850.
4. Le Praz (1300)
A traditional village at the foot of the slopes, close to the Olympic ski jumps, with forest runs that are great in bad weather.
5. The Three Valleys
A Three Valleys pass links Courchevel with Méribel, Val Thorens and more, creating one of the largest ski areas in the world.
6. Off the slopes
Ice skating, the Aquamotion water park and spa, snowshoeing and tobogganing.
