Editorial Policy
Our readers use our guides to make real decisions about their trips. These are the standards every story on Best Travel Tale follows.
Who writes our guides
Our guides are written by freelance travel journalists, local correspondents and our editorial team. Each article shows its author, and every author has a profile page describing their background and the destinations they know.
Research and accuracy
- Writers base their guides on first-hand experience, local knowledge and official sources such as tourism boards, transport operators and government travel advice.
- Prices, opening hours and rules change often. We describe them as accurately as we can at the time of writing and encourage readers to confirm important details before they travel.
- Health, safety and legal information comes from official sources and is never a substitute for professional advice.
Editing and fact-checking
Every article is reviewed by an editor before publication. Where an article has been fact-checked by a named editor, it is shown at the end of the article.
Updates
We review our guides regularly. When we update an article, we change the "Updated" date at the top of the page.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, please email [email protected]. We correct factual errors promptly.
Independence
Our recommendations are our own. If an article contains sponsored content or affiliate links, we say so clearly.
