St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has begun welcoming guests to the St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya in Mexico.
Situated next to a 620-acre biosphere reserve, the 143-room beachfront property features circular architecture, which the brand says was designed to create a minimal construction footprint and better preserve its natural surroundings.
Each of the resort’s guestrooms feature ocean views and either a private terrace or plunge pool, as well as decorative elements like ceramic light pendants and walnut wood-carved headboards. All guestrooms at the St. Regis Kanai come with the brand’s signature butler service.
Guests have access to eight on-site dining options, including the Latin-inspired restaurant and bar Toro by chef Richard Sandoval and beachfront eatery Riviera and Chaya, which blends regional fare with eastern Mediterranean elements.
Other F&B offerings include tea and chocolate salon The Library, the St. Regis Bar, speakeasy venue Jack’s Club, grab-and-go deli Pik-Nik and The Beach Club, a barbecue concept scheduled to open April 1.
Additional amenities include the St. Regis Spa, Athletic Club gym and Tortuga Children’s Club, as well as 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
The St. Regis Kanai Resort is the latest resort to open as part of the Kanai master-planned community, joining the recently opened Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection. A third resort, the Riviera Maya Edition at Kanai, is expected to open later this year.
St. Regis, a luxury brand owned by Marriott International, has some 50 hotels and resorts.
