Women give free alcohol shots to passengers at security so it won’t go to waste

A group of women have given out "shots" to travellers when they were stopped at an airport security for carrying bottles of alcohol.

A TikToker, who goes by the name "latinnbella", said they forgot to check in the alcohol and were stopped by the airport security for carrying more than 100ml liquid.

In the video she posted online, she said: "They didn't let us take our bottles through check-in so we gave shots to everyone in line."

One woman is seen taking a sip of Malibu pineapple rum before passing it to another woman, who pulls down her mask and takes a shot of it.

Her friend, who wears a grey T-shirt, is also helping out on finishing a bottle of Ciroc vodka.

It's not sure if they emptied the bottles but the TikToker posted a second video to give update as they safely arrived Miami.

One viewer said: "It's amazing to see the community come together."

"This is about to be the most lit plane ride. You all have a party group already," a second wrote.

In the UK, airport staff will only passengers to carry liquid more than 100ml through security if they are for essential medical purposes, special dietary requirements or contain baby food or baby milk.

Liquids bought an airport duty-free shop are also allowed but passengers have to make sure that they are sealed inside a security bag when they buy them.

The receipt for the items is also sealed in the security bag and visible to the airport security staff.
