‘I’m a former flight attendant and cabin crew would often hook up with pilots’

It’s not unheard of that cabin crew members and pilots can form relationships while working in the skies.

Tight working quarters and plenty of overnight stays have lead many airline workers to form attachments.

But, former British Airways flight attendant turned Love Island star, Lucinda Strafford, explained that sometimes the attachments could be “embarrassing”.

The British beauty, who lives in Brighton, is a successful boutique owner and YouTube creator and has more than 824,000 followers on Instagram page @lucindastrafford.

The 22-year-old left the role after finding it wasn’t as glamorous as she thought it would be.

But, she noted plenty of flight secrets before handing in her wings.

Lucinda noted: “The cabin crew and pilots do get along! Some of them are very friendly.

“I have had situations where pilots would hit on cabin crew, it wasn’t strange if that happened.

“It mostly happened on long haul flights, or when we’d all go partying abroad.”

But, some crew members went further than some innocent flirting.

She commented: “You do hear stories of cabin crew going back with the pilots, making it very awkward the next day.

“There wasn’t any arguments with the flight crew when I was cabin crew, but it is also quite common that cabin crew make romances and even boyfriends and husbands from the flight crew!

“I knew a member of cabin crew whose husband was a pilot and they would try and get on the same trips together.”
