Virgin Hotels is planting its flag in Denver, with the lifestyle brand slated to be one of two hotels in the Fox Park development.
The 41-acre Fox Park project, which broke ground earlier this month, will be located at the site of the former Denver Post printing facility in the city’s Globeville neighborhood. Upon completion, Fox Park will have 6 million square feet of residential and commercial space and 14 acres of garden and park space.
Scheduled to open in 2025, the Virgin Hotels Denver Fox Park will house 241 guestrooms, the Commons Club restaurant and bar, the Shag Room bar and club, and the Funny Library Coffee Shop.
Other highlights are a rooftop lounge with views of the downtown Denver skyline and an 8,000-square-foot spa and fitness center.
Virgin has hotels in New Orleans, Las Vegas, Nashville, Dallas, Chicago and Edinburgh, Scotland. The brand is gearing up to open two additional hotels later this year in New York City and Glasgow, Scotland.
