Kimpton hotel opens in Scotland

InterContinental Hotels Group’s Kimpton brand has made its
debut in Scotland with the opening of the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel in
Edinburgh.

Located in the city’s Georgian New Town district, the
Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel is housed within seven interconnected
townhouses, comprising a total of 184 rooms and 15 suites.

The property also features a concept called No. 33, billed
as a hotel-within-a-hotel accommodation able to host up to 24 guests. The No.
33 space includes a combination of several suites and six additional bedrooms,
with a dining room and drawing room also available for entertaining. According
to Kimpton, the “homelike” offering is ideal for groups, special
events or private weddings.

A variety of dining and drinking venues are onsite,
including the brightly-lit Garden and Baba, a restaurant showcasing Levantine
cuisine and shared mezze-style dishes. The hotel’s Baba Bar hosts a social hour
daily.

Other property amenities include free fitness and wellness
classes at the gym and in-room yoga mats.

Rooms at the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel start at $230 a
night.
