Bally's Las Vegas rebranding as Horseshoe

Bally’s Las Vegas will rebrand as a Horseshoe hotel-casino this year and host the World Series of Poker in late May.

The Horseshoe Las Vegas project includes an exterior renovation, new entertainment and culinary options, and a redesigned casino floor and common areas.

“At Horseshoe, it’s all about the gambler. Since 1951, Horseshoe casinos have been home to the best odds, highest limits and biggest jackpots. So, it’s fitting that we bring Horseshoe back to Las Vegas, and right on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Jason Gregorec, the hotel’s senior vice president and general manager.

A rebranding of the 2,800-room hotel is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022.

The World Series of Poker, first held at the Horseshoe Casino in downtown Las Vegas in 1970, will be played at the new Horseshoe from May 31 to July 19 after being held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in previous years.

In 2020, Caesars Entertainment sold the Bally’s brand to Twin River Worldwide Holdings, which then changed its name to Bally’s Corporation and now operates 12 Bally’s casinos across the U.S.

Caesars Entertainment maintained the right to use the Bally’s brand for its Las Vegas Strip hotel, but now it has fully moved on from the brand.

Caesars Entertainment currently operates a half-dozen Horseshoe casinos in the United States, and this will be the first time the brand has had a Las Vegas Strip location.
