The most popular beauty spots in the UK have been revealed. With many Britons having spent their summer on a staycation, they have rediscovered some of the most beautiful locations in the country.

Waterproof accessories brand Sealskinz crunched all the data and came up with the most popular spots for Britons.

James Moody, Director at Sealskinz said: “There are so many fantastic locations and landmarks right across the UK which offer not only beautiful views, but a fantastic day out.”

Coming top was Stonehenge.

The famous landmark is a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site.

Dating back to 3000 BC, the ring of stones has puzzled historians and tourists alike for decades.

In second place was St Ives in Cornwall.

Cornwall is one of Britons’ favourite staycation location and St Ives ticks all the boxes.

With turquoise waters, relaxed resort atmosphere and picture-perfect landscape, the town was voted best holiday destination by Coast Magazine.

Loch Ness in the Highlands came third.

It seems impossible to find someone who hasn’t heard of Loch Ness and its monster.

Aside from the myth, Loch Ness is also a favourite beauty spot for holidaymakers.

The beauty of the Highlands, a castle and lake activities all add up to Loch Ness making the top three of the most popular beauty spots in the UK.

At number four was Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland.

The natural wonder has plenty of legends attached to it and is a major tourist attraction on the Antrim Coast.

With 40,000 interlocking basalt columns which were the result of a volcanic eruption, Giant’s Causeway is a very picturesque location for a holiday or a day trip.

In fifth position was Durdle Door in Dorset.

The natural limestone arch is a tourists’ favourite in the South of England and is beautiful no matter how it’s photographed.

Rounding up the Sealskinz list were five other beautiful locations around the UK.

Padstow in Cornwall, Southwold in Suffolk and the White Cliffs of Dover all made the list.

The bottom two beauty spots were The Roman Baths in Bath and Carlton Hill in Edinburgh.
