There’s a huge range of destinations that are cheapest in January, giving British tourists the choice between a long-haul adventure or a quick European jaunt.
Athens, Greece’s capital that’s packed with ancient sites, is cheapest in the month of January. Tourists will also find top attractions like the Parthenon are far less crowded than in peak summer.
Another option is Lisbon, Portugal’s trendy capital. The city is one of Europe’s most affordable destinations.
Further afield, January is the cheapest month to visit Seoul or Hanoi while tourists will also find Toronto most affordable then.
