The hunt is now on to find the next Travel Photographer of the Year.
And judging by some of last year’s stunning images, the standard will be high in this tough contest.
Travel Photographer of the Year is an annual competition that is judged by a panel of photographers and imaging experts and attracts entries from over 140 countries each year.
Pictures are judged across several categories including ‘Travel’, ‘Faces, People, Cultures’ and ‘Natural World’ as well as ‘One Shot’, ‘Beauty of Light’, ‘Hot, Cold’ and ‘Tranquillity’.
For 2018 there are also prizes for the Young Travel Photographer of the Year, for those under 18, and a New Talent award for images taken on a smartphone or tablet.
