British Airways travellers can buy £33 rapid coronavirus tests to take abroad

Travellers flying with British Airways can now buy a discounted coronavirus testing kit for just £33.

Under the current rules, anyone arriving into the UK will need to show proof of a negative test taken within 72 hours of departure.

The new law means travellers have to find somewhere abroad to take a coronavirus test before flying back home.

However, British Airways is now offering discounted antigen kits from Qured for £33 which flyers can purchase before their travels.

Passengers can order the kits to their UK address which are portable so they can be taken abroad without a problem.

Then they can schedule a video call with one of the Qured's professional health advisors for when it's time to administer the test.

This means passengers can be guided through the process so it's done correctly.

The verified results will be available after 20 minutes and customers with a negative test can download a "fit to fly" certificate.

British Airways' CEO Sean Doyle, said: "As we look forward and prepare for a safe return to travel, we remain focused on finding and offering the most convenient and affordable testing options for our customers.

"Our teams were pleased to discover Qured, a unique new option which removes uncertainty and unnecessary expense for customers who may be concerned about sourcing a pre-departure test while away from home."
