UnCruise Adventures, which offers a four-island Hawaii itinerary on its 36-passenger Safari Explorer, added new excursions when it relaunched last November.
One took guests to Puu Waawaa State Wildlife Sanctuary on the Big Island of Hawaii, where they could connect with local naturalists and hiking trails above Kona. Another excursion, also on the Big Island, brought visitors to the Hualalai volcano by way of dryland native forests and lava tubes, which thrill-seekers could wander through.
While not new, the cruise line featured an excursion to visit the Solario family of Molokai, the oldest original family from the island. During the tours, the family shares its history and culture and opens its home to UnCruise guests. The excursion includes poi-making, tastings, beach walks, learning about the family and the island’s history, meeting elders and hiking to a waterfall.
