Atlas Ocean Voyages rolls out cultural expeditions for 2024

With the World Voyager joining the fleet this fall, Atlas Ocean Voyages has added more than a dozen new itineraries for 2024, including the line’s first-time sailings in the Caribbean.

In addition to the Caribbean, the ship will sail Arctic expeditions to Svalbard and Greenland and other new itineraries in Northern Europe.

The World Voyager will join the fleet this fall with a naming in October and begin sailing in Antarctica in November for the 2023-2024 winter season.

As part of this new offering, Atlas is launching new cultural experiences, including epicurean expeditions and polar expeditions for what Atlas calls the “intrepid traveler.”

The line said these expeditions will offer deep immersion into the cultures of each destination, including local engagements, folkloric experiences, art, architecture and museum visits.

The new 2024 cultural expeditions include an eight-day Spotlight on Brazil sailing from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro departing April 5; two seven-day sailings of the Caribbean from Bridgetown or St. Maarten exploring the harbors of the Lesser Antilles departing May 2 and 9; a 13-day transoceanic Mystique of the Azores cruise from St. Maarten to Lisbon on May 16; and an 11-day Picturesque Peaks & Fjords sailing from London to Tromso on June 10.

Atlas will also offer a 10-night Vineyards and Vignettes sailing from Lisbon to London on May 31, and  a 12-night sailing with the reverse itinerary on Oct. 2.

New polar expeditions include nine-night Arctic sailings roundtrip out of Longyearbyen, Svalbard that depart in late June and July, and 10-night sailings featuring Greenland’s glaciers out of Reykjavik or Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, in August.

Atlas has begun using Starlink for its internet connectivity, joining the majority of the cruise industry.
