Travel expert Mark Murphy is back and all-new this week with the latest edition of the TravelPulse Podcast.
In episode 34, the TravelPulse founder talks to a veteran U.S. airline pilot who says he would “absolutely” climb into the cockpit of a Boeing 737 Max jet despite the indefinite grounding of the maligned aircraft.
“He reiterated that when planes crash, it’s not one thing. It’s usually a series of events or missteps that result in the ultimate problem. It’s a multitude of mistakes,” said Murphy.
Later, Murphy dives into the latest industry headlines, including Delta Air Lines reducing seat recline on dozens of planes, Airbus introducing couch-style seating and the tragic death of a tourist on a zipline attraction in Thailand.
Murphy also shares some helpful travel tips for a last-minute spring getaway to Florida before the humidity kicks in.
“Make a point to check out the Florida Keys. You don’t realize how easy it is to explore South Florida,” he added. “If I was you, I would think about flying into Fort Lauderdale, spending two or three nights and cruising down to Miami Beach to spend a couple of nights there and then finishing up in the Keys. Drop off your rental car and fly out of Key West back to your final destination.”
