Central Holidays has launched a slew of new culinary-focused travel programs in Europe.
The company is offering six new food and wine itineraries in Italy, Spain, Croatia and Malta that feature hands-on culinary experiences, such as cooking classes, that will help guests more deeply discover the local culture.
Two itineraries have been added to Italy. There’s an 8-day Live and Eat Like a Local in Umbria with Chef Lorenzo itinerary with visits to Orvieto, Montepulciano and Civita di Bagnoregio. Guests can expect truffle hunting, wine and cheese tastings and farmer’s markets.
In Sardinia, guests can experience a 7-day culinary tour of the island that will include a walking tour and tasting in Cagliari, an interactive cooking class in Pula and a fishing tour that will include lunch onboard the ship.
Two itineraries have been added to Spain: The 5-day Madrid for Foodies tour and the 8-day Barcelona for Foodies journey. Guests in Madrid will experience chef-led cooking classes, tapas experiences and a half-day cava cellar tour and brunch alongside expert guides.
Similarly, guests in Barcelona will not only enjoy cooking classes and tastings at markets, but they will also explore the city’s most famous streets, such as Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter and the masterpieces of Antoni Gaudi, including Parque Guell.
The new 6-day Wine and Dine in Croatia itinerary will feature private tours of Skradin, Kastel Kambelovac, Split and Dubrovnik and wine and food tastings and cooking classes in other destinations along the Dalmatian coast.
Finally, the new 5-day Malta, A Food and Wine Paradise itinerary will help guests explore Maltese cuisine through farm-to-table dining experiences, winery visits and cooking classes in a learning kitchen on a 600-acre farm.
