Banyan Tree Group has unveiled plans to bring its wellness focused Veya offshoot to Mexico’s Bacalar Lagoon region in southern Quintana Roo.
Set to open in early 2025, the Banyan Tree Veya Bacalar resort will comprise 35 villas and five residences. The $28 million project will also include four culinary venues, all of which will feature water views, as well as a specialty restaurant offering over-water dining.
As part of the signature Veya experience, guests will have access to personalized wellness programs curated by various consultants and experts. Additionally, traditional spa treatments will be available at the property’s Banyan Tree Spa.
The Banyan Tree Veya Bacalar will be Banyan Tree Group’s sixth location in Mexico, joining the Banyan Tree Mayakoba, Banyan Tree Cabo Marques in Acapulco, Banyan Tree Puebla, Hacienda Xcanatun by Angsana in Merida and the soon-to-open Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe.
Banyan Tree launched its Veya flag earlier this year.
Details on the Banyan Tree Veya Bacalar opening come as Banyan Tree Group is undergoing a period of rapid expansion, with the company recently rolling out five new brands and brand extensions.
