Worst airplane seats you should avoid on Ryanair, easyJet, BA and more

Ryanair’s infamous seat 11A has racked up plenty of complaints over time thanks to the fact that it doesn’t actually have a window.

Passengers who have paid extra for a window seat have come away disappointed when faced with the plane wall by their side.

On settling, which lets people rate various aeroplane seats, 11A has a rating of one star out of five.

One reviewer stated: “There is no window if you need to see out to not feel sick stay away.

“I thought I was going to vomit for 90% of the flight as I had no reference to the outside.”

The only other eats on Ryanair’s Boeing 737-800 to receive such a low score were seats 33A to F – because they’re right in front of the loos where people chat.

And, because on a long haul journey the toilets can begin to smell.

But, Ryanair’s seats aren’t the only ones which people try to avoid – many other planes and airlines have “bad” seats which people say to avoid.

The Telegraph said: “Norwegian’s 737s have the same issue (avoid seats 10A, 11A and 11F), as does American Airlines’ (steer clear of 11A and 11F).

“But if you fly with easyJet, the windowless perches are at the back, rather than in the middle.

“Seat 31A, to be precise, for those on its A320 aircraft, and seat 26A and 26F on its A319s.”

Plus, British Airways A380s apparently have a number of seats with rubbish or limited views from the windows.

Both 70A and 70K, in economy will offer little in the way of a window view.

And, this also applies to 12A, 12K, 50A and 50K in Club World.

So make sure you check your seat before paying extra or choosing your position.

Over on Reddit, frequent flyers recommend using SeatGuru.

One person said: “ Seatguru is a good source for scouting out a good seat.”

The website lets you look up the seating plan of your upcoming flight so that you can locate the seats with the most leg room or with fewer seats in your row.
