According to TUI’s website, the travel provider is due to resume holidays so some favourite sunshine hotspots as soon as tomorrow. Flights are set to return to holiday destinations including Cyprus, Jamaica, Morocco, the Greek Islands and Spain throughout the next two weeks.

Previously, flights and holidays had been cancelled amid the ongoing travel restrictions both in the UK and abroad.

However, travel is beginning to open up, particularly for those who are fully vaccinated.

As of July 19, all Britons who can provide evidence of being double-jabbed are able to travel to amber list countries without having to endure quarantine upon their return home.

They will also only need to take two COVID-19 PCR tests, as opposed to three.

In line with this, TUI is bulking up its holiday offering, allowing more opportunities for Britons to get back into the sunshine abroad.

As per the cancellation listing on TUI’s website, holidays to Cyprus and Jamaica are set to return from July 22.

Holidays to Skiathos in Greece and Morocco’s Marrakesh are expected to return from July 23.

Spain holidays are also anticipated to return, with flights to Alicante, Malaga and Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands due to take off from July 23.

Holidays to Kefalonia in Greece are expected to resume as of July 25, and to Chania in Crete from July 26.

From July 29, holidays to La Palma in the Canary Islands are due to take off.

Express.co.uk has contacted TUI for further updates on whether or not these expected departures are confirmed to go ahead.

Those who are due to jet off with TUI are advised to check the entry restrictions of their destination before travel.

While many countries are allowing Britons to enter, this is often on the condition they can provide either evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test or proof of being fully vaccinated.

While TUI is resuming holidays to amber list destinations, the travel provider is still allowing flexibility in order to “reassure” customers.

As part of its ongoing Holiday Promise, customers are able to change their booking to another date free of charge or opt for a full refund if FCDO advises against non-essential travel abroad.

This also applies if the Government for the destination of travel decides to enforce quarantine on UK arrivals where there isn’t the option to forgo this period with either a negative COVID-19 test or proof of being fully vaccinated.

Similarly, if the holiday destination decides to close its borders to Britons, TUI will issue a date change or refund.

Customers who have bookings to red list countries are also able to avail of the flexible policy.

“If we need to cancel your holiday for any of these reasons, you don’t need to do anything,” assures TUI.

“We’ll work through bookings in departure date order to proactively contact you as soon as we can.

“If you have an accommodation-only booking, which isn’t impacted by travel restrictions, and that you, therefore, don’t want to cancel, please give us a call.”
