If you're looking for a cheap summer staycation then you may want to check out Travelodge's latest sale.

The budget hotel chain has slashed prices on over 850,000 rooms, with prices for £38 or less currently up for grabs over the summer months. For a family of four sharing a room, that works out at £9.50 per person!

When the Daily Star's travel team took a look, we found heaps of tempting deals during the school summer holidays at plenty of popular destinations.

The deals come as the brand released its 2023 Travelodge Travel Index, which found that nearly three quarters of Brits are planning a staycation this summer. In fact, Brits are set to spend £20 billion holidaying at home collectively.

Seaside breaks are the top getaway of choice for holidaymakers, with Cornwall, Devon and the Isle of Wight proving the most popular destinations on the UK coast.
