Travellers say they ‘can’t be without’ handy luggage item – now on sale

Packing for a holiday can be a headache, especially with strict luggage rules to contend with, but travellers looking to make the most use of their space might want to consider packing cubes. These handy compartments certainly aren’t anything new, but many travellers are still trying to stuff all of their belongings into their suitcases without them.

If you don’t know what a packing cube is, they are essentially fabric pouches, sometimes topped with mesh so you can see what is stored inside, and are designed to organise your clothes inside your suitcase or hand luggage.

After putting them to the test, several passengers have urged others to try them, with one even admitting they “can’t be without” packing cubes. However, the price for the best packing cubes can vary a fair amount and many of the top-of-the-range cubes can have a hefty price tag (although they will certainly last plenty of adventures around the world).

If you’re unsure of whether or not you want to fork out on some expensive travel packing cubes, or simply want to save a bit of money, right now an eight-piece set by the brand Toifucos is on sale. Originally retailing at £15.99, the set which comes with four clothing cubes plus dedicated shoe, toiletry and laundry bags, has been discounted by 21 percent to £12.59. As is often the case with Amazon sales though, the percentage discount could come to an end at any time.

Reviewing the product on Amazon, a customer named Kurt said: “Very useful to have – For the people who love organisation, I don’t think I could be without them.”

Similarly, Blessing described them as the “best travelling purchase I have made recently”. The traveller added: “I have truly been sleeping on travel bags. They made my last trip so easy, I packed in record time and for the first time on a trip, I did not spend time looking for things as I could easily locate them in the cubes. I used all 10 cubes as there was something for everything.

“Packed all chargers and cables in one, clothes and toiletries separately, shoes, makeup, etc. Highly recommend.”

And it’s not just holidaymakers who recommend putting packing cubes to the test. Flight attendants do their fair share of packing everything into hand luggage, and packing cubes are one common essential regularly touted by cabin crew online.

According to one trainee flight attendant, you don’t even need to splurge in order to feel the benefits.

Posting to a Reddit forum she explained: “I bought myself some packing cubes a few years ago when I was doing some solo travelling and they are the bomb. I didn’t get crazy fancy ones but let me tell you, these have served me very well and I have yet to rip, bust, or otherwise damage one in any way, and I’m a total klutz so that’s saying something.

“Really helps with efficient packing or organising, plus if your bag somehow pops open your clothes and stuff don’t end up like confetti on the ground wherever you are.” [SIC]
