This Is What a $250,000-a-Night Private Island Rental Looks Like

Have you ever wanted to pull a Kim Kardashian and surprise your closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where you could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time? If so, you’ve got options. For just over $300, you can rent out this small island in Italy for a night. But if you’re not feeling like jetting off to Europe, you can rent out this gorgeous island in the Maldives—although it will cost you.

The Nautilus Maldives, a luxury resort located in the Maldives, is offering special private packages that allow guests to have an entire island to themselves. That’s right—the only footprints in the sand will come from you and your crew! However, the rate for one night is pretty steep. As Travel+Leisure reports, it will cost you a cool $250,000.

Dubbed one of the world’s best resorts by Travel + Leisure, as well as Condé Nast Traveler and Tatler, the praise for the Nautilus is never ending. However, is it really worth a quarter of a million dollars for one night? The Nautilus describes what exactly this package includes on its website. I’ve summarized its offerings below.

  • Daily breakfast
  • Champagne and gourmet welcome platter upon arrival
  • Early check-in and late check-out subject to availability
  • Daily”sunset cocktails” and snacks at the Naiboli Pool Bar
  • A selection of three non-alcoholic drinks, premium tea, and coffee in each private House or Residence
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout the island
  • Free butler service
  • Free still and sparkling water in each house and at the restaurants
  • Free yoga, fitness, and meditation classes
  • Free access to all non-motorized water sport activities
  • Free snorkeling equipment for use during the stay
  • Free laundry for a maximum of four items per day (dry cleaning services excluded)
  • A VIP welcome at the airport (Guests will be ushered by limo to a private VIP lounge and then onto a seaplane headed to the island. The Nautilus will handle Immigration and other processes for guests.)

One more perk: there does not seem to be a cap on the number of people you are allowed to bring. Judging from the photo below, you could definitely fit your”closest inner circle.” Much like the Kardashians, you and your crew should quarantine for two weeks before traveling. A minimum of four nights is required to book.
