Ninja, the kitchen appliance company, is seeking a true smoothie enthusiast to join its team.
In January, the company put out the call for a Ninja Smoothie Bowl Sommelier. The Smoothie Bowl Sommelier, the company explained, will be responsible for pairing "surprising flavors" to craft custom smoothie bowl recipes with the company's Ninja Foodi Smoothie Bowl Maker and Nutrient Extractor.
"Over the last year, people have spent more time in the kitchen than ever before. Our search for a Smoothie Bowl Sommelier is a nod to consumers' newfound kitchen curiosity and passion for beautiful and thick smoothie bowls," Sasha Hartman, senior vice president of global creative at Ninja, shared in a statement. "We're seeking an enthusiast who shares our passions for innovation, nourishment, and, of course, the art of creating Insta-worthy smoothie bowls."
Key responsibilities of the two-month contract job include acting as a spokesperson for the brand, inspiring others through the "development of custom, thick smoothie bowl recipes and aesthetically pleasing imagery of smoothie bowls," which will all be shared on NinjaKitchen.com
The smoothie expert will also share their tips for how to make "delicious, spoon-thick smoothies with the blender that powers through heavy loads at high speed without stalling or the need to stir or shake." This person will also host a virtual event to teach others their tips and tricks.
In return, the company will pay the smoothie expert a cool $25,000 for their time and expertise.
To apply, all you need to do is submit a video introduction detailing why you would make the best Smoothie Bowl Sommelier, along with a resume reflecting on your passion for smoothie bowls, and a photo of the most creative smoothie bowl you have made to-date.
The company added, "while no formal training or expertise is required to apply for the role of Smoothie Bowl Sommelier, applications will be reviewed against predetermined qualifications, including a discerning palate, demonstrated passion for food (especially smoothie bowls), and a healthy lifestyle." Being comfortable hosting virtual events and holding a registered dietitian credential is a plus.
Ninja is accepting applications now through Feb. 5. See the full job description and apply here.
