The best city in the world for expats looking to escape a cold British winter is Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The average annual temperature in Dubai is 28 degrees, no surprise given its desert location.
Dubai is a fast-growing tourist destination and the Burj Khalifa is one of the city’s top tourist attractions.
A visitor wrote on Tripadvisor that the world’s tallest building was “unbelievable”.
British expats living in Dubai will have access to some of the world’s best shopping in a range of incredible malls.
Dubai is known for record-breaking feats and also boasts the deepest diving pool and the world’s biggest ferris wheel.
In second place was Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates where the average annual temperature is just under 28 degrees.

Bangkok in Thailand took the third spot with an average annual temperature of 27 degrees.
British expats in Bangkok will enjoy some of the world’s best street food and a buzzing nightlife scene.
The Thai capital also has a much cheaper cost of living than the UK so expats can expect to spend far less on accommodation.
British expats will also be able to explore Thailand’s islands at the weekends and enjoy some of the country’s magical beaches.
Doha in Qatar took the fourth spot on the list with an average annual temperature of 27 degrees.
Excitement is building in the Middle Eastern city as it prepares to host the World Cup in December.
Singapore rounded off the top five destinations for British expats with an average annual temperature of 26 degrees.
