Ministers are discussing tougher entry requirements for the UK ahead of the third lockdown. Hauliers carrying stock into the country will be exempt from the coronavirus restrictions. It comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a third national lockdown for England, with “stay at home” orders applied across the country. Yesterday saw the UK record a further 58,784 cases and 407 deaths, as the new variant of coronavirus caused a surge in infections.
