The truck – named Big Daf – sits on a beautiful farm in the Wye Valley – and it even comes with a hot tub.

As a holiday let, the staycation home boasts everything you need for a relaxing weekend in the fresh air.

There’s room for four people to sleep inside with camo pattern bunk beds for the kids and a double sofa bed.

And, for those wanting to save money on expensive meals out there’s a small kitchenette for rustling up meals.

Or, the charcoal BBQ can be fired up for an al fresco dinner.

The seating area and TV means you can wind down with a film before bed and there’s a fully equipped toilet and a shower for scrubbing off any muck acquired in the day.

For the ultimate relaxation, Big Daf also has a covered outdoor area with a stunning wood-fired hot tub.

So get ready to bubble away in the warmth with a glass of something refreshing or a hot chocolate.

And, you can store bikes and scooters there too after a day exploring the surrounding area.

The Forest of Dean sits nearby as do the Brecon Beacons.

You can paddle-board down the close-by River Wye too or head to Tintern Abbey for some historical views.

So, there’s plenty of countryside pursuits to enjoy if you’re looking to enjoy some outdoor activity and get away from your screens.

There’s even a nearby goat who lives near to the truck which you can meet – it’s said to be friendly.

And, the army truck won’t break the bank either as it costs from £305 for a three-night stay.

That’s just £25.40 per person per night.

On Airbnb, one happy reviewer said: “Brilliant weekend away in this beautiful truck, there was enough room for four adults to manoeuvre around inside and plenty of outside space for eating and socialising.

“Great time making use of the hot tub and refreshing to have limited phone signal, all round a truly wonderful getaway.”

“Great weekend staying in Big Daf, the children loved it,” added another.

You can book Big Daf on Brecon Cottages or on Airbnb.
