Premier Inn launches summer promotions with rooms available from £29

The Prime Minister gave Brits a date to look forward to when it was announced that foreign travel could resume at the earliest of May 17.

And since the announcement, people are keen to make up for lost time and reunite with loved ones.

Those hungry for a holiday are rushing to book staycations in the UK, as well as scoping out which of their favourite holiday destinations will get the green light for summer travels abroad.

With this in mind, the hospitality industry is hoping to come back stronger than ever and Premier Inn is the latest hotel chain slashing the prices of hotel stays from May 17 until the end of the year – giving customers a chance to enjoy all of those long awaited trips for a fraction of the price.

Rooms start from £29 per night and are so far, averaging at no more than £32.

There's plenty of locations to choose from including Cardiff, Edinburgh and Bristol – although, more availability in other popular locations is expected during the summer months.

The offers are available on over one million UK rooms.

All rates, with the exception of non-flex, now offer the ability to amend on a like-for-like basis until 1pm on the day of planned arrival. You can also cancel within the terms and conditions of the specific room rate for a full refund.

In need of break sooner than May 17? There are rooms available to book at now and before the domestic holiday restrictions begin to ease on April 12.

Why not enjoy a scenic break at Premier Inn Queen Street which is located in Cardiff? A three night stay in a standard room for two people will cost you as little as £66 in May. It's right in the middle of the city centre, meaning everything including entertainment and food is right around the corner.

Or if you're keen to stay a bit closer to home, you can always opt for the historical town of Bristol at the Lewins Mead Premier Inn. Two nights for a family of four (two adults, two children) will cost just £91 on dates selected in May and you'll be right in Bristol's epicentre, as it's next to Bristol shopping quarter and Bristol bus station.

Wherever you decide to go, there's plenty of destination to explore and plenty of price cuts to take advantage of. The offer was first spotted on bargain website Hotukdeals, many users took to the comments to express mixed reviews of confusion due to restrictions as well as excitement.

One user replied to the post: "I actually love you for this deal. Thank you so much!!!"

Another commented: "Perfect.. got a room in Preston at the end of May to stop over on a 500 mile journey".

A social media user commented that she was confused find the best deal available and asked: "Is there a way to find the cheapest available dates?"

Someone helpfully added: "Yes, enter where you want to stay and the dates you'd like to stay there. If the dates you entered are too expensive simply keep selecting different dates until you find the cheapest. Hope that helps!". Which many users also seemed to find useful.
