New Haven holiday park opens by UK beach with aqua-jets and NERF camp

A new Haven park has opened up this year where families can enjoy a cheap staycation. The holiday camps are dotted all around the UK meaning you can opt for your favourite county or beach spot for your break.

Plus, now Haven will be offering a new place to stay in Skegness perfect for a sunny weekend away. Exciting renovations and new activities mean it’s bringing all the best bits of Haven to Lincolnshire, England.

The report was acquired by Haven in 2022 and was originally Richmond Holiday Centre. A multi-million pound facelift means there are new restaurants a Marina Bar and stage which will host plenty of shows and has TVs all around.

There’s an outdoor piazza which is a little square where you can drink, relax and dine outside while the kids run around. There’s a second stage nearby for outdoor performances an activities.

The arcades have been updates to offer the latest games and competitions. Plus, eateries include Burger King, Papa Johns, Cook’s Fish and Chips and The Richmond Arms pub.

Also al fresco is the Seaside Treats for ice cream and waffles and Box Bar for getting tasty drinks and snacks while out and about and a Bark Yard – a dog agility space for pets to enjoy. For kids, there’s the fun bungee trampoline too.

Plus, this summer there’s a NERF Training Camp. Families team up in groups of up to eight to battle each other with NERF blasters as they try to get the ball into the net.

The Haven website states: "Featuring an inflatable arena, or a range of inflatable obstacles that you’ll need to navigate, this high-energy activity sees four players from each team on the field, and four in their ‘home’ area at any given time, with points added each time you score in your opponents’ net. Strategy, gameplay and teamwork are all key ingredients if you want to graduate NERF Training Camp and defeat your opponents."

Each week the schedule will show you the added activities to take part in – generally they cost extra from £2 for certain sports like dodgeball to £12 for the incredible aqua jets that speed you through the pool water.

There are also mini sports for little ones like archery, family karts to drive around the site, ball sports, craft workshops, football, magic lessons and pool kayaking.

Sounds like fun! The park also has lots of water-based fun for everyone with an indoor pool – it’s heated so it doesn’t matter what the weather’s like. And, you can walk down to the beach each day if it gets warm.

Accommodation on the site includes Bronze, Silver and Saver caravans. The saver option starts from £49 for four nights – that's £12.25 a night – and sleeps four or six guests with a TV, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and shower. Dog friendly versions are available.

Bronze caravans are from £79 for four nights and sleeps six or eight guests with a TV, bathroom, lounge, kitchen and central heating. Dogs are again allowed in certain caravans.

Finally, the silver caravans cost from £149 for four nights and have all the same facilities as the bronze plus an outdoor patio area, bluetooth speakers, a larger fridge and freezer, hairdryer, towels and a bigger TV plus an extra in the master bedroom.
