Ayia Napa is a major party town in Cyprus that attracts thousands of young Brits every year. Holidaymakers flock to the area for cheap drinks, beaches, splashing in the sea and parties.
The town is full of clubs and pubs to sip on your favourite tipples and day events, boat parties and shows to enjoy before a big night out. But, first-timers might not know where to go – and might end up with a less fun trip away.
Thankfully, there are plenty of experts and Ayia Napa veterans to offer their advice to newbies. While you should always check the government travel advice to learn about official safety advice – ticket sellers and reps are where to go for party recommendations.
Influencer, Andreas Michalis, 20, from Watford, @thatguyandreas, goes out to Ayia Napa each year. He has family in Cypus, and is Cypriot himself, and summers on the island year after year to enjoy the clubs.
Andreas works for holiday experience company Workers Family and is a partner in Summer Dreams Holidays – so he knows all the best parties and deals. He spoke to Daily Star about where holidaymakers should go in Ayia Napa.
He noted: "My favourite thing in Napa is the daytime events. A big group of people going out for the day at a daytime event with good vibes, sun, music and drinks. Plus, Nissi beach is the best beach 100%. The blue waters, music, beach bar and good vibes is sick. There’s water sports, foam parties and sexy girls. What else do you need."
Andreas added: "I think the biggest mistake tourists make is not purchasing Summer Dreams package. We have the best package in Napa and that’s a fact. We offer seven days worth of events including some exclusive events for only £129. Buying individual tickets will cost a lot more.
"My personal preference for my favourite event has got to be sunset sessions. That event has a place in my heart as that is the reason my TikTok started. One day I was invited down to sunset sessions pool party to do some interviews and from then it all picked up.
"I’m close with the owners and they have done a great job making an evening pool party so busy and sick. It is similar to Pambos pool party however it is a more chill type of vibe as it’s an evening event.
"Prices are very cheap out here. You can get an hour bar for €10 for example or a two hour for €15. People some realise this and pay €6 for example for a drink.
"You can easily budget if you know the places to go. Shout out to bronx as that is the best pre drink bar in Ayia Napa. Food wise I’d say it’s just the standard English prices, there’s fast food places, restaurants and posh places."
