When Trojanova’s flight to Mexico was ‘horrendously delayed’ for 10 hours last week, she took the opportunity to share a ‘little lesson on airport sleeping’

The content creator explained that your ‘outfit is really important,’ saying she had on layers and took a blanket from her previous flight

Trojanova recommended ‘sleeping near other people because there’s safety in numbers’ and panned the camera to show there were a few travelers close by

‘Let me show you how to sleep at the airport because I’m about to do it myself,’ she said. ‘Ideally, I would have gone through security already, but that just wasn’t possible because of the timing.’

The traveler noted in the on-screen text that the airside of the airport typically has more seating, lounges, and food, ‘but you can’t get in late at night.’

Trojanova deduced that spending the night in the pre-security area was her ‘second best scenario’ while waiting for her flight.

She first suggested checking out the free website sleepinginairports.net, which has ‘loads of information’ and ‘reviews by real people.’

‘This is not sponsored, but I use it myself,’ she explained.

Trojanova then showed that she was bundled up in comfortable layers, saying your ‘outfit is really important’ when you’re spending hours at the airport.

‘I’m not proud of this, but I did also take this blanket from my flight because it’s the airline’s fault that I’m stuck here for 10 hours,’ she admitted.

Trojanova cleverly tied the wire from her earbuds to her luggage and wrist to ensure no one stole her belongings while she was sleeping

Before she fell asleep, Trojanova cleverly tied the wire from her earbuds to her luggage and wrist to ensure no one stole her belongings.

‘It’s really, really important that you secure your luggage as you’re sleeping because otherwise someone could just come along and take it. So this is my improvised solution,’ she explained.

The travel expert ended her video with a tip on how to sleep lying down.

This kind of seating is not ideal because of the armrests, but there is one position that allows you to sleep,’ she said, turning the camera to show herself lying face down.

‘Wish me luck and goodnight,’ she concluded.

Trojanova’s video has been viewed more than 969,000 times and inspired other users to share their own airport stories.

‘One time my dad refused to drive me at 6am so he dropped me off at 7pm the night before,’ one person shared.

‘I’ve slept in O’Hare twice, and Atlanta once. It’s not great, but you do what you can,’ someone else added.

‘I was stuck for 10 hours overnight at BWI when my flight got canceled and rebooked the next morning and I had nowhere to go… I was with my 2-year-old,’ another recalled.
