A holidaymaker staying in an English hotel room was gobsmacked after finding a cheeky message scrawled in the back of a bible.
The tourist had been flicking through the religious text – which is often kept in the bedside table of hotels – when they noticed the handwriting on the back page.
Sharing the find on Reddit, they uploaded a video leaving Brits cracking up.
In the CasualUK forum, they captioned the clip: “Found in an English hotel room.”
The poster, A-Ron-Ron, showed someone opening the bedside table and pulling out a brown leather bible.
They flipped the pages until they got to one of the final, usually blank, pages.
Written on the page were the words: “Two guys had sex in this bed! Enjoy.”
More than 5,000 people liked the post and over 300 commented on it.
One person noted: “Imagine staying in a hotel and checking the back page of the bible!”
While another added: “Just two? I assume hundreds in most hotel beds.”
And a jokester said: ‘You just wrote that, didn’t you?”
While another wrote: “Classic. I used to love writing ‘Best wishes, God x’ in the front of hotel bibles.”
“‘I always want to add some "Signed by the author’ Stickers to the cover,” added another.
“I would just invest the time to write my own gospel, what else are the blank pages for,” laughed a Brit.
Other shared tales of things they’d found in the drawers of hotels.
One poster said: “I once stayed in a hotel where a used condom was mashed into the bible…”
And, a second noted: “I found a pregnancy test in one once. I was 14 at the time so was horrified.”

But, not everyone was laughing at the joke as some disagreed with writing in the religious book.
One angry poster noted: “Not religious myself, but I really don't agree with defacing a religious book which would be important to a lot of people, not all of whom would be homophobes.”
While another added: “Wow…they sure told them. Childish. Plus it's defacing someone else's possessions/property.”
