The Smith & Whistle, based at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane in Mayfair, features the city’s very first permanent drinks menu for dogs. Designed by the bar’s famous in-house mixology team, plus specialist canine nutritionist David Jackson, each concoction should leave your pooch lapping up their liquid treat.
On the menu is a ‘Poochie Colada’ made of coconut water and health-boosting kale and broccoli, is sure to go down a treat in the current hot weather.
If your pet prefers the finer things in life, order them a ‘Posh Pooch’ which contains ginseng, nettle, lime-flower and is a 100 per cent natural herbal infusion.
Got a dog that’s always in holiday mode? The Hound’s Hops’, is the recommended choice, which mixes ‘dog beer’ with fresh mint, instead.
Each beverage inspired from popular cocktails starts from £5, and humans don’t have to miss out either, with cocktails like ‘The Pink Panther’ and mocktail options such as ‘Cool as a Cucumber’.
The Smith & Whistle is themed around the 1920s detective novels with an elegant retro style, perfect for all the Sherlock’s and Toby’s across London.
A Smith & Whistle spokesperson said: “We are well known for accommodating four-legged patrons and, with the increase of dog ownership throughout lockdown, we are so pleased to offer a welcoming space for even more dogs and owners to enjoy in the heart of Mayfair.
“Our three bespoke ‘dogtails’ are the perfect treats for London’s pampered pooches, with a range of delicious cocktails hand-crafted by our talented in-house mixology team on offer for human guests to explore as well.
“We are delighted to have reopened fully in line with the Government restrictions and are welcoming guests Monday to Sunday, 12pm to 11pm.”
