Cabin crew worker spills beans on romance between staff members on the job

We all know that a relationship isn’t going to be easy when there’s a lot of travelling involved.

But for some single flight attendants it hasn’t been impossible and, in fact, they’ve found that love is well and truly in the air.

In a recent Reddit thread, one unnamed cabin crew staff shared her adorable romance story, revealing she met her husband while on the job.

She said: “I’m actually marrying a pilot. We started on the same day at work.”

The flight attendant said how for her soon-to-be husband, it was love at first sight – but she didn’t feel the same at the start.

She continued: “Initially he was just a work mate at first, then we started hanging out of work as friends for several months.

“The next day I just woke up realising that I can’t live my life without him. He came into my life unexpectedly, it never crossed my mind to date someone from work but I fell really hard and in a couple of months we’re getting married.”

The woman detailed how it helps to be with someone who understands her work schedule, adding that it’s not a “9-5 office job”.

Meanwhile, another flight attendant revealed that she is in a relationship with another cabin crew member and it hasn’t been simple.

She said: “I have been with my boyfriend who is also a flight attendant for a while. It's difficult because we both live this lifestyle which can be isolating in away and we can be away from each other for weeks at a time.

“It’s just a case of understanding each other's schedule and trusting one another. We met while working the same flight and it's been a bumpy road trying to see each other and communicate with our crazy schedules but we make it work.

“I imagine if we didn’t find each other I'd probably still be single. It’s hard to date as a flight attendant.”

Heather Poole, author of Cruising Attitude, shared that cabin crew members spend a lot of their time flying which could have an effect on their relationships.

She wrote: “A relationship with a flight attendant can be tricky, because being a flight attendant isn’t just a job it’s a lifestyle.

“No matter how many times we try to explain it, most people have a hard time really grasping that the only thing consistent about our lifestyle is just how inconsistent it truly is.
