International and corporate bookings in March are expected to be at the highest level since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Sabre.
In a Wednesday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Sabre provided updated recovery figures for the period of March 1 to 28 compared to the same period in 2019.
According to the filing, gross air bookings for corporate and international travel recovered to approximately 48%. Passengers boarded recovered to approximately 76%. Hotel res system transactions increased 105%.
“While domestic and leisure bookings have continued to lead the recovery, international and corporate bookings have improved at an accelerating rate since January 2022,” Sabre said. “We expect the March 2022 recovery versus the same period in 2019 for both international and corporate bookings to be at their highest levels since the pandemic started.”
All regions of the world have shown “strong improvement” since January 2022, Sabre added.
