The luau at Sea Life Park on Oahu has been updated and renamed. The reimagined Aloha Kai Luau is held Sundays through Fridays on the park grounds in Makapuu Meadows overlooking the ocean on the east side of Oahu.
The luau has added more cultural activities and performances. Cultural demonstrations include a ceremony presentation around the imu, or underground oven, where the kalua pork is cooked, coconut weaving, coconut tree climbing, hula and Samoan fire knife dancing. Along with the kalua pork, the menu includes teriyaki chicken, fish, chow mein noodles and assorted cakes for dessert. Mai tais, beer, wine and soft drinks are available at the bar.
Packages range from $119 per adult for the bronze package (rear seating and a drink ticket) and to $214 for the gold package (prime seating, special welcome, three drinks and a pass to Sea Life Park). Rates for children start at $99.
