Public ferry resumes between Anguilla and St. Martin

Daily public ferry service has reopened from Anguilla’s Blowing Point ferry terminal to the Marigot terminal on French St. Martin.

The ferry route between the two destinations has been a principal connection that dates back generations. But the onset of the pandemic brought a temporary halt to the service.

The current plan calls for three daily departures from each port. From Blowing Point, the departure times are 8:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.; from Marigot, times are 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Fares are $30 one way for those 12 and over; $20 one way for children 11 years and younger. Tax for residents and day trippers is $11 for adults and $3 for children. Tax for nonresidents (visitors) is $28 for adults, $15 for kids five to 11 years and $3 for those two to four years of age.

Only vaccinated people are allowed on the ferry; proof of vaccination status and well as proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken no more than two days prior to arrival must be presented, and masks are mandatory in the ports and on the ferries.
