MSC Cruises took delivery of the MSC Seascape on Wednesday at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
At 170,000 gross tons, the Seascape is the largest cruise ship to be built in Italy, MSC said. The 2,270-cabin ship has a maximum capacity for 5,877 passengers.
The Seascape is MSC’s second Seaside EVO-class ship after the MSC Seashore, which entered service in 2021. The EVO ships are a sub-class of MSC’s Seaside ships and have more outdoor space than the class’ first two ships, the Seaside and the Seaview.
Following a naming ceremony in New York on Dec. 7, the MSC Seascape will sail to Miami for an inaugural season in the Caribbean.
Entertainment option include the new Robotron, a robotic arm with an attached gondola that seats three guests, flying them nearly 175 feet above the sea.
