American Cruise Lines is creating a new land and cruise itinerary featuring visits to U.S. national parks after the success of an initial trial run of the tour offering.
The new 15-day National Parks & Legendary Rivers itinerary will launch in 2023, operating between Portland, Ore., and Jackson, Wyo., on the Columbia and Snake rivers.
The itinerary begins with an eight-day cruise onboard the American Harmony before disembarking in Hells Canyon on the Washington-Idaho border, where guests will then begin their seven-day land tour visiting Yellowstone, Glacier and Grand Teton national parks.
Earlier this year, American Cruise Lines began offering visits to the three national parks as part of a pre- or post-cruise excursion package for cruises in the Pacific Northwest. The seven-day land tour of the national parks now permanently joins the company’s existing Columbia and Snake rivers cruise itinerary.
Guests can expect to see the famed Old Faithful geyser, participate in active excursions and see sweeping views of wildlife and natural landscapes in some of the nation’s most well-known parks.
