The best — and worst — US airports for cheap international flights, per new ranking

Flying anywhere can be expensive, but when it comes to flying internationally, tickets can get very pricey.

That’s why Scott’s Cheap Flights aims to make the flying experience a lot more affordable. Scott Keyes, co-founder and CEO of Scott’s Cheap Flights, works with a team of flight searchers to send cheap-flight alerts to its 1.6 million members. In 2018 alone, subscribers to the email service received over 7,000 emails with flight deals from more than 150 U.S. airports.

To continue helping travelers, the company collected data over the past 12 months to compile a list of which U.S. airports had the most frequent deals on international flights, and which ones hardly ever budge.

Coming in at No. 1 was New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. With 436 cheap international flights sent to members in the last year, Scott’s Cheap Flights reported finding about 20% more deals than they found at the No. 2 ranked airport, Los Angeles International Airport.
