Pleasant, Journese add first-ever tours in South Africa: Travel Weekly

Pleasant Holidays and its luxury brand, Journese, have added South Africa packages to their travel portfolio.

The expansion marks the company’s first venture into Africa, with packages offered in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The South Africa vacations will feature 15 four- and five-star hotels, 10 in Cape Town and five in Johannesburg, along with Norwegian Cruise Line vacations from Cape Town.

Private and shared airport transfers plus a range of excursions are also featured in the vacation packages. Among the add-ons: Cape cultural tours, cooking safaris, wine tastings and sunset beach dinners. The vacation packager is partnering with destination management company Thompsons Africa for local expertise.

Pleasant Holidays and Journese will also offer add-ons that are commissionable to travel advisors that include private or shared hotel transfers, one-day sightseeing tours of Cape Town and Johannesburg and a pair of two-night minipackages, one to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and a safari outing in Kruger National Park. Both minipackages include four- or five-star accommodations, airport transfers and on-site tours, with flights from Cape Town or Johannesburg also available as an add-on.

“South Africa is a travel destination that has so much to offer for memorable African travel experiences, from luxury mountain and oceanfront resorts, countryside wineries and luxury wildlife safaris to gourmet dining and shopping,” said Jack Richards, president and CEO. “We are very excited to begin offering this new destination for travelers to experience as we continue our global expansion.”
