Contiki, a specialist in group travel for young adults, will launch its first Georgia tour in June 2023, taking guests on an off-the-beaten-path journey through the country’s capital city of Tbilisi as well as centuries-old villages.
The 10-day Best of Georgia itinerary includes several UNESCO World Heritage sites and attractions.
Contiki’s guests can expect to learn about the tradition of winemaking in giant clay jars, hike through Martvilli Canyon among the Caucuses, visit the historic Gergeti Trinity Church and experience Georgia’s techno club scene.
“We’ve had Georgia in our sights for a while,” said Natasha Lawrence, Contiki’s commercial and product development director at Contiki. “As a destination, it’s clearly one of the rising stars on the global tourism scene — with unique history and heritage, and a nightlife scene that could rival Prague or Berlin. We found that more and more of our travelers were asking for it. So, we delivered it.”
The first departure is scheduled for June 4.
