AutoCamp opened its Joshua Tree location in Southern California in mid-January.

The 25-acre property is a 10-minute drive from Joshua Tree National Park and features 47 custom Airstreams, four Accessible Suites and four X Suites, which are more spacious than the Airstreams and include a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living area. 

All accommodations are equipped with heating and air conditioning and include an outdoor fire pit with a grill.

The common areas include the Clubhouse with fireplace and lounge adorned with works by local artists, a shaded patio and a seasonal plunge pool opening in March. The Clubhouse also sells beer and wine and houses a café with items crafted by local chefs with a focus on ingredients sourced from within 100 miles of the property. There is also a general store with a variety of groceries and other goods.

With a focus on sustainability and environmental impact, all of the existing Joshua trees on the grounds were preserved. The landscaping incorporates drought-tolerant plants and the lighting system is designed to meet dark sky standards to preserve stargazing opportunities. 

Regular programming at AutoCamp Joshua Tree includes yoga classes, fireside chats, ecology walks, and night sky photography seminars.
