The best value sunshine in the UK has been revealed after a recent study analysed weather data from the Met Office and compared it to hotel prices. A town where sunshine costs £9.55 an hour has been named as the cheapest UK spot with the best weather.
Britons might be looking for the most sunshine at the lowest possible price this summer.
Money saving company Vouchercloud surveyed sunshine hours and hotel prices across coastal towns to find out what an hour of sunshine costs across 63 seaside destinations.
The company said: “After the year we’ve all had, a summer break is definitely on the cards, but we know that now more than ever people’s finances are being tested.”
The cheapest hour of sunshine has been revealed to cost only £9.55 during a British staycation.

Factor 50 is strongly encouraged in Felixstowe, Suffolk, as the town has been named the sunniest seaside spot for the cheapest tan in the UK.
Felixstowe has an average hotel price of £60.48 per night and the highest number of sunshine hours in the UK.
The town gets an impressive six hours and 29 minutes of sunshine during the summer season.
Blackpool, in Lancashire, came second with an average cost per hour of sunshine of £10.35.
Burnham-on-Sea, in Somerset, was ranked third with a cost of £10.41 per hour of sun.
However, according to sunshine data, the Isle of Wight has the sunniest destinations.
The towns of Ventnor and Shanklin lead the list with seven hours and 34 minutes of sunshine in the summer months.
Not far behind are Kent’s Folkestone and Dungeness, which have the sun shining on them for an average of seven hours and 25 minutes from June to September.
When looking at hotel data only, Burnham-on-Sea, in Somerset, was revealed as the coastal town with the cheapest hotels.
Hotel stays in Burnham-on-Sea costs £60 a night only.
At the other end of the spectrum, Falmouth, in Cornwall, and St Andrew’s are the two most expensive destinations.
Staying in a hotel costs an average of £189 and £202 per night respectively during the summer months.
