Airlines the world over are vying with each other for holidaymakers’ custom. Some rely on being the cheapest to attract customers, but price isn’t everything.

A new study revealed the worst airlines in the world.

Taking into account complaints, staff service, meals, seat comfort, inflight entertainment and baggage allowance, Bounce ranked the worst airlines.

Coming top was Viva Air Colombia, a low-cost Colombian airline.

Britons, however, will want to know how some of Europe’s most popular airlines fared.

Ryanair made the top five.

At number four, Ryanair was found to be one of the worst airlines in the world.

The low-cost ranked poorly in all criteria, except staff.

However, it surprisingly did not get much complaints.

And neither did easyJet, which also made the list.

At number seven, easyJet’s lack of baggage allowance hurt its ranking.

It otherwise did well everywhere, except for inflight entertainment.

Ryanair and easyJet were the only two airlines on the list which had no baggage allowance at all.

At the other end of the rankings, the five best airlines in the world were also named.

Ana All Nippon Airways came top.

It was followed by Singapore Airlines, Korean Air Lines, Japan Air Lines Company and Qatar Airways.

Qatar was the only airline in the top five with complaints in the triple digits, with 267 between January and June 2021.
