‘Terrific’ seaside town is this year’s best winter staycation destination

Looking to get away for a winter break? According to new research from Airbnb, the majority of Britons are heading North this year. A Northumberland seaside town has taken the top spot.

Bamburgh, previously named the UK’s best seaside town, was the top trending winter destination on Airbnb.

The town’s beaches have won awards for their cleanliness and quality and are far more peaceful during winter.

Bamburgh Beach is overlooked by the town’s Castle, which is one of its must-see tourist attractions. The current building dates from the 1500s to the Victorian age.

It might be chilly during the winter months, but Bamburgh Beach is just as breathtaking in the cold. The beaches are dog friendly making it the perfect place to holiday with a furry friend.
