Craft beer is huge in Vietnam and you'll find plenty of tiny microbreweries when wandering the streets. Some of the most famous exports include Pasteur Street Brewing Company, Heart of Darkness and East West Brewing Company.

You can go kayaking and swimming in the bright blue waters during a day trip or let the gentle waves rock you to sleep during a cruise tour instead.
Flights from London to Hanoi can be snapped up for less than £300. The journey takes around 12 hours when you fly directly.
