Student bags four-star Benidorm break with flights for just £20.92

There are plenty of Black Friday holiday deals on the market right now – from lastminute.com to easyJet.

But, one student has bagged herself some time in the sun cheaper than almost any bargain we’ve seen.

Sophie Kearins, from Manchester, will be jetting off to a four-star hotel in Benidorm for just £20.92.

The student will get to enjoy the yellow sand beaches of the Costa Blanca and could even book into one of the many theatre shows in the area.

Benidorm is popular with Brits thanks to its sunny weather and good value food and drink.

Plus, of course, the beaches and bright blue water for swimming.

Sophie won the holiday for less than the cost of an Uber on Jet2holidays Bid for a Break scheme.

Bid for a break lets you offer an amount for the holiday on the mobile app each week.

If your offer or “bid” is the lowest one – and you’re the only one to offer it – then you bag the prized holiday.

Bids open on Mondays at 9am and you can place a bid until midday on Thursday.

Sophie is the 29th person to win a cheap holiday on the scheme – though it is taking break until 2023 from now.

Past winners have bagged trips for as little as £1.40.

Sophie said: "I have entered Jet2holidays’ Bid for a Break every week since I went away with Jet2holidays earlier this year to Portugal.

"I saw the advertisement for the Bid for a Break competition and thought I had nothing to lose! I didn't have much of a strategy for my bidding amount, I just put the first four numbers that sprang to my mind.

"I can’t believe I actually won and can’t wait to go on holiday with Jet2holidays again!"

Lastminute.com has offered up flash deals to various locations starting from £100 per person and savings of up to £300 on packages.

Meanwhile Travelodge is selling off one million rooms in the UK from £34 each for those who prefer staycations.
