Ryanair launches sale with £5 flights to green list destination Portugal

Brits have been without holidays for over a year now and many are desperate to get away to somewhere sunny.

And, with the borders being opened on May 17 it seems now is the time to book a trip abroad so long as you keep restrictions in mind.

Countries have all been assigned ‘green’, ‘amber’ or ‘red’ designations which decide whether you need a test or to quarantine on your return.

To help families get a great deal, Ryanair has launched a huge sale with £5 flights including green list Portugal and amber list destinations like Spain and Greece.

Flights in the sale include tickets to Portugal costing just £5 including from Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

You can find the deals on the Ryanair site – and you can also bag a discounted PDR test for passengers.

The super cheap £5 flights are only available for dates between June 1 and June 30.

Destinations available include amber list locations like Greece and Spain – but, the government advises only visiting such countries for emergencies or in extreme circumstances.

You will also need to quarantine for 10 days upon your return and take PCR tests on days two and eight.

You can also opt for a PCR test on day five, where a negative result will release you from quarantine early.

Another announcement adding more countries to the green list is not expected until June 7.

If you book now then you do so at your own risk.

So-called green countries, like Portugal, will be open to Brits so long as they take a Covid test before and after their trip.
