Kids can eat for free at restaurants in Heathrow Airport during school holidays

Going on holiday can be costly – from flights to hotel rooms, dining plans to car hire it all adds up.

And, that’s not even counting the little spends that can dip into your holiday spends like food at the airport.

But, luckily for families jetting off from London Heathrow Airport you can actually get free meals before you fly.

The airport’s terminals 2,3,4 and 5 are all running a Kids Eat free offer at certain restaurants during the school holidays.

So, when an adult picks an item from the main menu the little ones can choose a cost-free meal from the children’s menu.

It’s a great way to keep costs down if you’ve got hours to kill at the airport.

And, the best part is that many of the restaurants included in the deal are popular choices among families.

Fun eatery Yo! In Terminal 1 and 2 will offer free kids meals – from chicken or prawn katsu with mixed veg rice and edamame to teriyaki dishes and a Cawston Press juice carton.

The bento boxes usually cost £6.95, but will be free with a grown up’s meal.

There’s also Giraffe in Terminal 5 which lets little ones tuck into mini breakfasts, fish fingers, pizzas, burgers pasta and more for free.

Main meals usually cost £6 for kids at Giraffe so it’s a great saving.

And, Kanishka offers delicious Indian food for kids usually worth £12 a pop.

In 2022 that means you can snap up the deal between October 22 to 30 and December 17 to January 2.

Age limits vary by restaurants, but usually class children as under-10 or under-12 so check the rules before you order.

And, if you’re heading on holiday outside of these dates note that Gordon Ramsay’s Plane Food lets kids eat free all year round.
