Social media users have been blown away by the “dystopian” interior of the world’s largest cruise ship which features a massive aqua stage, slides, a park, an underwater-themed outdoor play centre and more than 40 bars and restaurants.
The huge ship, Wonder of the Seas, is Royal Caribbean’s largest ship which is a whopping six times larger than the titanic and carries up to 9,500 passengers plus the crew.
TikTok poster Erica, @ericafromamerica, left people's jaws on the floor when she shared a clip of herself wandering around the boat.
In the video, Erica said: “My name is Erica from America and I work aboard cruise ships.
“Today I’m here on the newest, largest cruise ship in the entire world. The brand new Wonder of the Seas from Royal Caribbean.
“We’re going on a tour, let’s go.”
Erica went on to show the royal promenade which is the main indoor area.
She showed the large Starbucks on board, and some of the art pieces including a giant silver cowboy hat and a giant musical record.
Erica said: “You can’t miss the sign for Spotlight Karaoke which is a super cool lounge to hang out and sing.”
She walked her viewers around some of the dining options including Sorrento’s pizza which is open until 3am and a floating bar where you can sit and sip while the entire floor rises up from deck five to deck eight.
There’s also the bionic bar which features “robots making your drink for you.”
And, there’s a red convertible Mustang in the foyer that guests can sit inside – though not drive.
Erica headed off to the boardwalk stopping to admire the giant dragon statues, carousel, hot dog stands, arcade games and sugar beach – a huge sweets store.
The TikToker said: “Am I on a ship or am I at the Jersey shore?”
There’s a full sized sports bar with TVs and “the best wings ever”.
And, there are some of the biggest slides at sea which drop passengers from deck 17 to deck six!
Heading over to the aqua theatre, Erica explained that Wonder of the Seas hosts diving shows with impressive acrobatics and jumps.
Erica also took a look inside the ultimate family suite which has two floors, a slide and musical piano stairs.
On deck eight there’s “Central Park” with real trees and plants, restaurants with outdoor dining and art work so you’ll forget you’re on a boat in this town-sized ship.
On deck 16 is the stunning pool area where there are deck chairs sunk into the water do you can recline in comfort, plus there are water slides and a massive water play area for kids!
There’s also a mini golf course on board and an ice show where professional skaters dance around the ice rink.
And, there’s an adults-only solarium where you can go for some peace and quiet.
On the Royal Caribbean website there are even more delights shown including Wonderland – a restaurant where the Mad Hatter welcomes “vacationers to a magical menu based around the themes of Earth, Fire, Ice, Sea and Sun.”
Plus, there are teen social spaces and lounges for the kids to hang out in.
In the comments on Erica’s video people were gobsmacked by the enormous ship.
One person wrote: “Why does this feel so dystopia to me?”
“We live in some kind of simulation or something my mind will never process how this thing floats,” added another.
While a third noted: “That’s a mall on water help.”
And another said: “I saw this docked in Miami last year and thought it was a building at first.
“Wild how big it is.”
Prices for a stay on the boat can cost from £1,030 on ROLCruise for the seven night Western Mediterranean Discovery route which visits Spain, Mallorca, Rome, Naples, La Spezia and Marseilles.
While the 2023 Perfect Day at Cococay & East Caribbean is listed with prices from £786pp.
